5. What are the benefits of distance learning?
Distance learning allows you the flexibility to study when you want. It also means you can avoid having to spend a lot of time away from work or travelling to remote places to undergo what is called "contact training". Discovery's unique flexible learning experience means that you can learn at your own pace, and once you have successfully completed your home study you are likely to be required to attend for practical workshops or final assessment, which is a requirement for all of the training providers. Read more about our distance learning courses, or the full time option.

6. What is blended learning and what are the benefits?
Some training providers say that they provide blended learning but actually they don't. Blended learning describes a learning experience that provides many different ways of learning, meaning that whichever way the student prefers to learn, this will be catered for. It also ensures that each learning experience is different, so that the student remains stimulated and engaged. For instance, Discovery provide highly interactive attendance sessions, extensive training manuals, home study workbooks, online tutorials and virtual classrooms, live telephone and e-mail support to your tutor and access to a massive library and on-line resource, as well as many other features. Ours is a true blended learning experience.
